Commercial Panini Grill Review
Many small coffee shops are coming around to the fact that they can increase sales by selling sandwiches and snacks and as a result panini grill sales have taken off. The problem is that many small units are overmatched and easily break and most commercial grills are very expensive. We have tested several grills including Cecilware, Adcraft, Commercial Pro and Sirman. The grills all performed reasonably well but there were some quality issues with a few of the grills. Also, we really came to prefer the cast iron grill plates since they are virtually indestructible and develop a non stick surface after a few uses and application of cooking spray.
Our favorite commercial panini grill is the Sirman line of grills. Sirman is a leading manufacturer of panini grills in Italy and their experience shows. These grills are popular in coffee shops and don't typically require expensive ventilation hoods. The grill comes in a few sizes for different applications. It heats up quickly and the grilling plates keep an even heat which is vital when making panini's using the timer. Sirman includes a wire brush for easy cleanup.
